Designer - As a kid, I remember having a knack for brand understanding, grid alignment, and problem solving. It was clear that my passion was in design. I often used a design thinking process to problem solve across the many industries I have worked in. I enjoy helping solve for user needs and business needs—having both live in harmony. I utilize a broad range of tools to gain insight from users and products, helping to create great experiences.

Craftsman - I started my professional career as an automotive diagnostic and repair technician, where I came to own my own auto repair and performance business. I learned to appreciate product design from an industrial design standpoint. I then went on to the residential and commercial construction industry, focusing on electrical, lighting, and specialty finishes. Using my hands and solving “physical world” user problems has greatly helped me understand the fundamentals of user experience design.

Leader and Mentor - I really love sharing my skills and the knowledge I have with anyone who is interested. I have had the opportunity to lead many teams and witness first-hand the effect of a good manager. I’ve realized there can be a lot to learn from mentoring someone. Learning, similar to communication, is a two-way street.

DJ -  I love music, all kinds. So it was natural for me to take up a moonlighting gig sharing my love of music with audiences around the Bay. I became a DJ during the height of the turntablism era. Mixing, scratching, and getting the party jumping is something that I became really good at. I had an ability to read the crowd and play the right song at the right time. For the record, vinyl does sound better.

Father - My beautiful wife and I have successfully managed to teach the basic life skills to three very young humans, and we have seen a steady decrease in potty accidents and emergency room visits per year, over the last 9 years.
